Jarod Vanderkooi Partnering with Sammy O Racing in 2016

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2016) - Jarod Vanderkooi, Saddleman’s 2015 GNC 1 Rookie of the Year, announced that he will be partnering up with Sammy O Racing in the 2016 season. The Ohio rider is excited to start his second year in the GNC 1 class as National #20 after finishing an impressive 12th in GNC 1 points in 2015. “I am feeling great going into 2016 with a season under my belt,” says Vanderkooi, “I’m hoping to get my first career win and stay up front in points.” The Dons Kawasaki rider will pilot the Floyd Tapp Kawasaki 750 and his personal Kawasaki 700 for the twins programs. Vanderkooi has a KX 450, provided by Dons Kawasaki, his personal Honda, and Floyd Tapp’s Honda 450 for the singles programs. Andrew Butler serves as mechanic and tuner for Vanderkooi and the Sammy O Racing team.

Vanderkooi is also teaming up with 2014 Daytona GNC 2 winner, Brandon Wilhelm. Wilhelm makes his GNC 1 debut as #26X this March after finishing 5th in points in the GNC 2 class in 2015. He looks forward to being a part of the Sammy O Racing team and earning his national number. “My goal for this year is to stay consistent,” the Indiana rider says, “and earn my national number. I am super excited for what this year has to offer with Sammy O Racing.” Wilhelm is competing for Saddleman’s 2016 GNC 1 Rookie of the Year award.

The Midwest duo looks forward to putting Sammy O Racing on the map in the GNC 1 class this 2016 season.
