ALBION, NY (January 14, 2019) – Waters Autobody team owners Dave and Rhonda Waters are excited to announce they are fielding a two rider American Flat Track singles team in 2019.

Tristan Avery and Morgen Mischler will be twisting the throttles in the highly competitive AFT Singles class. The two riders were chosen among many capable applicants that submitted an interest in riding for the team.  The team is arming the riders with a couple of stout 2019 KTM 450SX-F race machines thanks to sponsor, Staci Howell, State Farm located in Waxhaw, NC.

“Our plan is to make a hard charge for the AFT Singles Championship with a ‘make or break’ team effort,” said Rhonda Waters. “We will make all rounds in the series and give both riders the strong steeds needed to go the distance. Dave and I were broken hearted after last year and not being able to re-sign either of our riders. We felt that we had to put together a program strong enough to enlist two of the top riders in the paddock. We agreed after last year that it was all or nothing, and we are going for the Gold despite being an underdog team in the new world of big money sponsors and teams.”

Avery, who hails from Chesterfield, VA, caught the team’s attention early in the search for new riders.

“I am excited to be on board the 2019 season with Waters Autobody Racing,” said Avery. “I’m very thankful that such nice people decided to pick me and let me go on this journey with them. I know I will do my absolute best to win them a championship this year; I am looking forward to the season.”

Mischler, who earned multiple podiums during the 2018 season, will prove to be an asset for 2019. Another of the team's sponsors will be providing a 2019 KTM 450 SX-F, giving the team four strong KTM machines going into next season.

“I’m really excited to announce I’ll be riding for Waters Autobody for the entire 2019 American Flat Track season,” said Mischler. “I’m hoping to continue their success aboard their KTM 450 and make a run at the AFT Singles Championship. It’s an honor to have the opportunity aboard a proven winning team.”

“We based our rider choices on their past results and the desire to work hard and overcome adversity," said David Waters. "We are looking forward to a very competitive and winning season.”
