SAN ANTONIO, TX (February 25, 2026) - Weirbach Racing is pleased to announce the sponsorship support of Jacob Lehmann for 2026, in Progressive American Flat Tracks' Mission AFT SuperTwins division, aboard the teams Kawasaki powered machines.
Jacob Lehmann, an accomplished KICKER AFT Singles rider collected a win at Castle Rock TT in 2012, followed by another win at the famous Peoria TT in 2014, and his last podium finish was 2nd place in 2018 at the Buffalo Chip TT. Jacob has continued to run select Twins and Singles events over the last few years and is looking to get in the mix this season with a renewed focus.
Jacob’s take on the upcoming season, “I am really excited to join Weirbach Racing the 2026 season. I’m looking forward to working with a great group of guys with plenty of experience. My goals for 2026 is to run in the top 10.” He added, "I am incredibly appreciative of this opportunity to not only ride for Weirbach, but also for Ted's willingness for me to design components and contribute to the development of the motorcycle to best suit my comfort and preferences."
Ted Weirbach commented, “When Jacob relocated to the San Antonio from the Pacific Northwest a few years back, we quickly became good friends and started working together as well as contesting some of the local events. Jacob is a very talented technical rider that also knows his way around the shop, as he is a very skilled mechanic. We feel that we can compete, have a great time at the track, and continue our history of supporting the future success of the sport, along with helping the younger generation of riders.” In that vein, Jacob plans to stay in Illinois for the week following the Duquoin National to assist and coach young riders during the Amateur Nationals.
Weirbach Racing is lending sponsorship support in 2026 to the very talented Dillon Durelle, who will be competing in the amateur 450 Road to AFT class and subsequent AFT ProSport 450 events.
The "team" Steve Ottmers, Jacob Lehmann and Ted Weirbach, went to work this year reconstructing our original Kawasaki Twin that Dick Weirbach created in 2012. Ted found and repurchased the C&J frame back in 2023 and the team has been working on its return for 2026 in memory of Dick Weirbach’s legacy.
Weirbach Racing would like to thank our sponsors: CP Carillo, Spectro Oils, Cometic, Regina Chain, Engine Ice, Motion Pro, Shorai, Lehmann Racing, Durelle Racing, General Engineering.
