Johnny Lewis and Brent Armbruster Team Up for Lima Half-Mile and Weedsport Short Track

CENTER HILL, Fla. (June 20, 2018) – After missing the last six AFT races due to international scheduling conflicts with his 10Training racing school and limited funds, KE Motorsports-backed Johnny Lewis will return to American Flat Track action at upcoming rounds in Lima, Ohio and Weedsport, NY, with help from highly successful flat track crew chief Brent Armbruster.

Armbruster has had great success in the American Flat Track series with riders such as current champion Jared Mees and Brandon Robinson, and brings a wealth of knowledge to Lewis' program generally and for these two events specifically – including winning the Lima Half-Mile with Robinson in 2016.

“Brent sent me a message a while back and told me he wasn’t working with the Vance & Hines crew anymore,” says Lewis, “and said it would be great if we could do a few rounds together with my FTR. So I got him the bike while I was overseas so he could start tinkering – and see what it would take to get closer to the lead guys when I returned from my schools.”

Prior to his six-race break and overseas 10Training school schedule, Lewis scored two top-ten finishes in 2018 AFT competition – a fifth at the Atlanta Short Track and an 8th at the Texas Half-Mile. Lewis is supported by KE Motorsports, Tony Westbrook, Certified Plumbing, Michael Sponseller and others who’ve helped financially via a sponsorship program on www.lewis10.com where fans and friends can support the team at any level they choose. Now Lewis is ready to get right back to the action and put the KE Motorsports FTR750 on the podium for the first time this season with Brent Armbruster as mechanic.

"I'm excited to be working with Johnny Lewis,” Armbruster says. “I have always wanted to work with him; he shows an incredible level of talent on the track despite not always riding the same bike or working with the same crew week in and week out. It's also going to be great working with the Indian FTR750 starting with the Lima round.”

Look for Lewis and Armbruster as they return to AFT competition this month at the Indian Motorcycle Lima Half-Mile Saturday, June 30th under the Spectro Oils canopies with the Number 10 KE Motorsports/Tony Westbrook-backed Indian FTR750. Gates open at 1:00 pm ET, with practice and qualifying starting at 2:30 and opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:00.
