Kolby Carlile Seeking Another Mile Win At OKC

Sent on behalf of Estenson Racing

PHOENIX (June 14, 2018) – After an emotional Red Mile a couple weeks ago in Kentucky, Estenson Racing’s Kolby Carlile is well rested and ready. He hopes to keep his Mile win streak rolling with another victory Saturday, June 16, at the OKC Mile, round eight of the 2018 American Flat Track season.

Shifting from his conservative approach that won him the 2017 AFT Singles title, Carliles’ hang-it-all-out-there approach, has paid off well so far this season. The “Flying Tomato” has soared to a pair of wins on his Yamaha YZ450F and is hungry for more. Ultimately, after a rough start to the season, racking up those “W’s” is exactly what the reigning champ needs to do as he strives to close the 39-point gap on the points leader with 10 rounds remaining.

Carlile (1) leading Shayna Texter (52), Jesse Janisch (132) Ryan Wells (94) and Morgen Mischler (69) at the Red Mile.

Kolby Carlile – AFT Singles #1:

“After a long six-week stretch of races it was nice to unwind a little bit away from the track. I kept my training the same as always, but not having to race allows for a bit of relaxation. Looking forward to racing another mile this weekend since we have done fairly well at them so far this year. It is a cushion track so that throws a little more into the mix, but I dig a nice loose track.”

The OKC Mile is streamed live, Saturday, June 16, on FansChoice.TV ( https://www.fanschoice.tv/) starting with practice at 4:30 p.m. ET, followed by Opening Ceremonies at 7:00 p.m. ET, Heats at 7:15 p.m. ET and the Main Events at 9:50 p.m. ET. Catch the race on NBCSN ( http://www.americanflattrack.com/events-nbcsn), June 23 at 5:00 p.m. ET.
