Labor Day Weekend in Springfield to Host Three-Race Roundup

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 22, 2019) – American Flat Track announced today its back-to-back-to-back racing extravaganza planned for Labor Day weekend.

AFT will take over the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield, Ill. beginning with the Roof Systems AFT Singles presented by Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys class sparring on theSpringfield Short Track on Friday, August 30, followed by a highly-anticipated AFT Twins presented by Vance & Hines Springfield Mile Double-Header on Saturday, August 31 andSunday, September 1.

One of the tightest, wildest short tracks of the season, the Springfield Short Track will feature the Roof Systems AFT Singles going handlebar-to-handlebar as the championship race heats up. This Friday night event hosts many races in multiple classes, culminating in the AFT Singles Main Event. Tickets to this battle under the lights are available at www.springfieldmile.org.

Known as the world's fastest Mile, the Springfield Mile, typically run twice a season in May and August, will now run back-to-back so that fans may experience twice the excitement in a single weekend. Fans holding tickets from May's postponed event may use their tickets for Saturday's Mile race. Tickets for Sunday's Springfield Mile II are available at www.springfieldmile.org.
