DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 4, 2012) - The AMA Pro Harley-Davidson Insurance Grand National Championship presented by Motorcycle-Superstore.com and Lucas Oil is gearing up for it's summer charge as the Grand National riders make the switch from their 450cc single-cylinder mounts to the twin-cylinder monsters used on mile and half-mile ovals.
With the Ohio National (Lima, OH) on the horizon, promoter Dean Gallup is opening the Allen County Fairgrounds for a test and tune session on Thursday, June 14th from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The pea gravel half mile will be the first half mile of the season and all riders are welcome.
There are many new teams and a wide variety of equipment for the 2012 season with Harley-Davidson, Kawasaki, Ducati, Triumph, KTM and Suzuki all expected to be represented in the "Twins" class this year.
The test and tune will be open to the press and public where they can get an up-close preview of the Ohio National scheduled, as always, on the last Saturday of June. This year the event will take place on June 30th.
