Silver Dollar Short Track Rescheduled for Saturday, May 18 Due to Inclement Weather

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 2, 2024) – This weekend’s Silver Dollar Short Track, scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California, has been postponed due to inclement weather. The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 18.

“While we regret having to postpone the event, we’re excited that we still have the opportunity to bring motorcycle racing back to Northern California just two weeks later than we had originally planned,” said Brad Sweet, renowned sprint car champion and co-promoter of the event. “We are looking forward to delivering an entertaining event with exceptional racing on May 18 and appreciate the community's understanding and support.”

Significant rainfall is expected to begin Friday night and continue through early Sunday morning, necessitating the postponement of the event which was originally scheduled for this Saturday, as round 5 of the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track championship, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.

Co-promoters SLC Promotions and AFT Events have confirmed that all previously purchased tickets will be honored on the new date.
