Shayna Texter-Bauman is a history maker, inspirational figure, role model, and, quite easily, among the most popular riders in all of dirt track racing.
She’s also incredibly fast and accomplished.
Texter became the first female to win a Progressive American Flat Track Main Event with her GNC2 triumph at Knoxville Raceway in 2011. As monumental as that was, it was only a small preview of what was to follow.
Today, the Pennsylvanian ranks as one of the winningest riders in AFT Singles history with a career class tally of 19 victories.
Texter boasts a unique blend of tactical acumen, go-for-broke bravery, iron will, and diminutive size that, at times, makes her practically unstoppable in Mile and Half-Mile competition.
She rewrote the record books with each successive victory. That was true again at the 2019 Texas Half-Mile where she and her brother, Cory, became the first siblings to earn AFT Main Event victories on the same day.
Texter-Bauman has largely shifted her focus to managing the Rick Ware Racing team, however, she still manages to flash her front-running speed on occasion as evidenced by her top-five performance at the 2024 Springfield Mile.
