SACRAMENTO, Calif. (April 30, 2019) – As the American Flat Track season prepares for its highly-anticipated west coast swing, SDI Racing announces some exciting additions to its programming for the 2019 Law Tigers Legendary Sacramento Mile presented by Cycle Gear powered by Estenson Racing.

The event - taking place at Cal Expo Fairgrounds on May 18 - will include Grand Marshal Mert Lawwill, an expanded Motion Pro Legends of Flat Track Meet & Greet and additions aimed to improve fan accessibility to and around the track.

Lawwill won his first of 15 career Grand National wins at the Sacramento Mile in 1965. After winning the Grand National Championship in 1969, Lawwill went on to star in the iconic motorcycle racing film On Any Sunday, a feature film that chronicled Lawwill's quest to defend his previous season's title against a bevy of strong contenders.

A number of other legendary professional flat track riders will be on hand to interact with fans as part of the Motion Pro Legends of Flat Track Meet & Greet Session. All of the Class of '79 - including greats such as Wayne Rainey and Scotty Parker - will participate as 2019 marks the 40th anniversary of the group.

The addition of ADA shuttles from designated parking areas to the track as well as a second fan-crossing for the Rider Autograph Session will certainly provide a more-streamlined experience for fans at the track.

"We are happy to alleviate the stress of walking from the parking lots to the grandstands on race day. We are also thrilled to host the Class of '79, both Larry Langly and Charlie Roberts have done an amazing job in corralling some of the most recognizable names in two-wheeled motorsports to meet and greet fans at this year's event."
