James Ott started riding flat track when he was 11yrs. old. He participated in 2 years of Flat Track Grand Amateur Nationals placing 2nd in class overall in the 450cc Open Singles in 2016, also winning his first AMA Amateur Mile and placing 3rd in 2 classes overall in 450cc classes in 2018. James started his professional flat track career in 2019, showing exceptional skill on clay half miles. For the 2019 American Flat Track season, Ott was riding a Honda CRF450R for Media Home. Ott took the first podium of his AFT professional career at his debut race at Texas Half-Mile, where he finished in 3rd place behind Shayna Texter and Mikey Rush. In 2020, Ott will be running his first full season with AFT and this year he will be riding for Media Home on a 2020 KTM SXF.
