With each additional Main Event victory and Grand National Championship triumph, Mission AFT SuperTwins king Jared Mees rewrote the Progressive American Flat Track record books. Already recognized as a bonafide series superstar with multiple Grand National Championships to his name prior to the 2017 season, Mees elevated his game to new heights from ‘17 until retiring at the conclusion of the 2024 season. Starting in ‘17, Mees kicked off a borderline ridiculous multi-year tear with Indian Motorcycle in which he cemented his status among the sport’s all-time greats. From ‘17-’24, the Pennsylvanian registered an astonishing 58 victories and six additional Grand National Champions while proving nearly unbeatable for extended stretches. Before he raised the bar, Mees earned most of his accolades due to his Half-Mile expertise, where he stands as the discipline’s all-time winningest rider. However, he also proved himself to be a threat to win on any type of racetrack and any given weekend. He’s a Grand Slam winner twice over, accomplishing the feat over the course of a single season in both 2017 and 2018. Perhaps most notable of all is Mees’ enhanced ability at the Mile venues, where he racked up a combined 27 Mile wins from ‘17-’24. While competing, Mees was both admired and feared for his tenacity, fitness, and determination. There were no holes in his game, and he displayed the sort of confidence and swagger that made him an intimidating presence on track. He’s also a family man and aspiring businessman, serving as the event promoter of the Lima Half-Mile and Springfield Mile with his wife Nichole. The legendary rider ended his career in the ultimate fashion – winning his final race while claiming an unprecedented tenth Grand National Championship to eclipse the once-considered-unmatchable nine previously posted by Scott Parker.
